Bulk Beef Campaign

Problem

Blackwater Pastures wanted to sell beef in bulk directly to customers. The challenge was making the buying process simple, showing the value clearly, and building trust.

Goals

  • Make reserving a Beef Share as intuitive as ordering a single cut.

  • Create a marketing campaign that raises awareness and educates customers on the benefits of buying beef in bulk.

  • Convert buyers of single cuts to bulk purchases to increase profit margin.

Outcomes

  • Sold multiple shares in the first week of the launch.

  • Created a beef guide that could be used as a free resource to assist customers with how / when to use each cut of beef.

  • A multi-channel marketing campaign with landing pages, email flows, and social content to engage, educate, and convert customers.

Difficulties

  • Inability through Shopify to limit reservations to pick up / delivery customers because the owner was not ready for shipping.

  • Post launch issues with checkout flows because of attempts to test the removal of shipping from the checkout screen.
